Spider GX Update:
I have a Spider GX here that has never worked ... not once! Today i finally got this Spider GX chip to fire up the Spider GX BIOS screen using a special link wire :-) Previously i was unable to get this Spider GX to boot at all and like many other people i was starting to think that there was no bios flashed on the chip or the bios image had become corrupt. However it did boot today ( 31st January 2006 ) after weeks of testing so the chips are flashed and the bios is working and the magnets on the packaging haven't damaged the chip. And NO it wasn't a connection problem either as i have soldered this Spider GX in ! If you have a Spider GX and it wont boot no matter what you do then try adding this link wire and let me know how it goes! Spider GX fix!

How to ground D0:
There are a lot of times when you will need to ground D0. Some examples are ... Force Modchip allways on, While Hot Swapping, While Troubleshooting. So here is a pic showing a wire soldered to the metal circle around the screw hole near the LPC. The wire then goes down through LPC hole #16 which is not used and is soldered to the D0 pad on the back of the motherboard.
