Spider GX Install Guide
Becuase there are so many problems installing , flashing and using these damn new Spider GX chips i have decided to make a dedicated Spider GX section on my website.
Lets' get one thing clear ... i hate Spiderchip and Spider GX but i feel sorry for their owners and i try to help everyone get theirs installed and working. I believe the Spiderchip is like an aladdin with legs which has many problems connecting to the lpc area. The New Spider Gx is a rip off from the Xenium Spice modchips which is a real solderless solution. If you can get a refund / exchange then get a Xenium Spice if you can't solder or a duox2 if soldering isn't a problem for you.
This guide will help you get your Spider GX working like it should. Most spider GX installs just make your xbox look like a christmas tree ( Flashing Red And Green ) This is called a FRAG and is usually caused from the spider GX not making a good connection to the xbox motherboard connection area called the LPC. The LPC is the 2 rows of holes that the Spider GX sits on.
Allways be very carefull with the legs of the Spider GX as they are very fragile and can break off easily. You can solder the legs back on if this happens but thats what you were trying to avoid in the first place.

Spider GX Motherboard Damage Prevention !
====================================
A number of people have have damaged the via's ( very small holes in the motherboard ) where the Spider GX's legs go in. Clearing the laquer from these holes is needed on some xbox's but you must take extreme care as damaging these holes will damage your motherboard and even without the Spider GX your xbox will not work !
The xbox motherboard is a multi layer board and by opening up those tiny holes you can cause a short in side ! You can't see the damage but you will notice the FRAG and you will be unable to fix this !
Some lucky people may be able to fix a damaged D0 via by soldering a wire from the top d0 point to the bottom side d0 point. This has helped fix many motherboards that would not work untill this fix was applied !
You will need Torx 10 & 20 screw drivers to open the xbox and a Torx 15 is needed for a hard drive upgrade. A sharp hobby knife may be needed to remove the laquer from the via's ( verry small holes ) that the legs must be pushed into.
Lift up the sticky pads in the 4 corners. Now locate the 6 screws and using a Torx 20 screwdriver remove them. You will also find 2 screws underneath the stickers. Now remove the top cover to reveal the Hard Drive and DVD Rom unit.

Now using a Torx 10 screwdriver, locate the 3 screws that bolt the DVD Rom and Hard Drive to the chassis and remove them.

Unplug the cables from the Hard Drive and DVD Rom and then remove the Hard Drive and DVD Rom from the xbox.

Unplug all the connectors from the motherboard. Use a Torx 10 screwdriver to remove all 11 screws and remove the motherboard.
