If you go on Xbox Live with your modchip enabled you will be banned so it is important to allways boot with the chip off when playing on Xbox Live. Xbox Live also records your eeprom and your hard drive serial number so if you want to upgrade your hard drive to a larger one then do so before you activate your live account.

Duo X2 users press eject to boot with the modchip disabled. This will boot the MS BIOS so the Hard Drive must be locked or you will get an error message.

Aladdin XT users press power quickly to boot with the modchip disabled. This will boot the MS BIOS so the Hard Drive must be locked or you will get an error message.

Spiderchip uses flick the switch to off and press power to boot with the modchip disabled. This will boot the MS BIOS so the Hard Drive must be locked or you will get an error message.
